PLAGIARISM POLICY

The World Journal of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Research (WJPPR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, originality, and academic integrity. The journal strictly opposes plagiarism in any form and expects authors to submit only original and unpublished work.

DEFINITION OF PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, figures, tables, data, or other intellectual content from another source without proper citation or acknowledgment.
  • Presenting another person's work, research findings, or ideas as one's own.
  • Self-plagiarism or duplicate publication of previously published work without appropriate disclosure.
  • Improper paraphrasing or modification of content without proper attribution.
  • Submission of manuscripts that substantially overlap with previously published, submitted, or copyrighted material.

ORIGINALITY REQUIREMENT

Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts are:

  • Original and unpublished.
  • Not under consideration by any other journal or publication.
  • Properly referenced and cited where necessary.
  • Free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct.
  • Prepared in accordance with accepted standards of research ethics and integrity.

SIMILARITY SCREENING

All manuscripts submitted to WJPPR may be screened for originality and similarity before entering the peer-review process.

Manuscripts found to contain excessive plagiarism, copied content, duplicate publication, manipulated references, unattributed material, or unethical use of copyrighted content may be rejected without further review.

SIMILARITY THRESHOLD

WJPPR expects authors to submit original manuscripts with an acceptable level of similarity. Manuscripts found to contain excessive similarity, copied content, or unattributed material may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the editorial board.

The editorial team reserves the right to evaluate similarity reports on a case-by-case basis, considering the nature and source of the matched content.

AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITY

Authors are solely responsible for ensuring the originality of their submitted work. Any ethical concerns arising from plagiarism, duplicate publication, copyright infringement, or improper attribution shall remain the responsibility of the author(s).

Authors are expected to obtain necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted material and provide appropriate acknowledgments where required.

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

Authors must disclose the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, if any, in the preparation of their manuscripts.

AI tools and software applications cannot be listed as authors of a manuscript. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, authenticity, and scientific validity of all submitted content, regardless of whether AI tools were used during manuscript preparation.

EDITORIAL ACTION

If plagiarism or academic misconduct is detected at any stage of the publication process, the journal reserves the right to:

  • Reject the manuscript.
  • Request revisions, corrections, or clarification from the authors.
  • Withdraw acceptance of the manuscript.
  • Suspend the review or publication process.
  • Retract a published article when necessary.
  • Notify the author's institution, funding agency, or affiliated organization in cases of serious ethical misconduct.

POST-PUBLICATION ACTION

If plagiarism, duplicate publication, copyright infringement, or other forms of academic misconduct are discovered after publication, WJPPR reserves the right to publish corrections, issue expressions of concern, withdraw articles, or retract published content in accordance with editorial and ethical publishing standards.

CITATION AND ATTRIBUTION

Authors must appropriately acknowledge and cite all sources used in their research, including published articles, books, websites, datasets, figures, tables, images, software tools, and other intellectual contributions.

Proper citation and attribution are essential to maintaining academic honesty and respecting the intellectual property rights of others.
